Hisato, JA1DOT dropped us a line delivering a message from Ted, JJ1LIB:
JA1MZL and JJ1LIB arrived at FJ/St Barthelemy safely. TO3J operation has started on 30 meter CW with a Long Wire as a tentative antenna.
A strong wind is blowing. They will set up a BiggerIR vertical and Spider beam later.
They had an RFI problem on the PC keying system at the beginning. They took some countermeasures and now are seeing improvement.
Takayuki, JA1MZL and Yutaka, JJ1LIB will be operating from Saint Barthelemy Island (IOTA NA-146) from the 1st to the 7th of February, 2012 with the call TO3J.
They will be on the air from 160 to 10 meters on CW , SSB and RTTY.
