[UPDATE]: Elmo, EA5BYP and Javier, EA5KM have announced the dates for their activities from Equatorial Guinea and Annobon. They will leave Spain on 21 February, and be active as 3C6A from Malabo (Bioko Island, AF-010) on 22-26 February. On the 27th they will depart for Annobon Island (AF-039), where they will be QRV as 3C0E from 28 February to 11 March.

After his 2010 activation from Annobón as 3C0C, Elmo EA5BYP told us about some of the difficulties and problems during the DXpedition. He told us also of big changes on the island which made an eventual return an unknown for the near future.However, we have received the news that the two Spaniards, Elmo EA5BYP and Javier EA5KM will again activate Annobón Island (IOTA AF -039) with the call 3C0E and Bioko Island (IOTA AF-010) as 3C6A during the months of February and March, 2012. Some dates are still unknown as departure dates and flights have been difficult to determine.

In any case, the two will be in Equatorial Guinea in mid-February and are preparing everything they need to go to Annobón.  They will be active from Bioko Island as time permits.

A ministerial delegation will await them on Annobón.

For this 2012 activation, QSL is via EA5BYP.
