To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Algerian Independence many Algerian stations will be active with special callsigns. For the first time they will also use the prefix 7T.
ARA (Algerian Amateur Radio Association) is also planning to send a special Award to all stations that
obtain 50 points by working these special event stations.
The main object of the activity is to inform the world about this event and, the ARA President, Afif BENLAGHA, 7X2RO, invites all hamradio operators worldwide to be present and active during on air activities. This might be a nice opportunity to get a new prefix in your logs.
All OMs and SWLs are invited to take part. All HF bands and modes are allowed.
Date: From July 5th, 2012 at 12:00UTC to December, 31st 2012 12:00UTC.
Valid contacts: The same station may be worked only once per band. Valid contacts:
Score: (Club Station Algeria) 7T50I = 10 points.
-Radio Station Club from East and Southeast (RC Bou-Saada) 7W50I = 05 points.
-Radio Station Club from Southern area (RC Laghouat) 7V50I and 7U50I = 05 points.
-Radio Station Club from West and Southwest area (RC Mostaganem) 7Y50I = 05 points.
-All the other 7X stations: 03 points.
Fees: Cost for the award is 10USD or 5 euros. These fees are to cover the printings and mailing of the certificates).
In order to get the award you need to score at least 50 points.
