We have come to the weekend devoted to the Contest with a capital “C”, the one which is, without a doubt, the most popular of the year.
Every year, during this contest, propagation suddenly seems to open up round the clock on all bands and one’s chances of working all time new ones or new band slots increase dramatically.
What are the reasons that make many hams give it a shot for 48 straight hours? The desire to compete, to test one’s own abilities, maybe to simply search for missing DXCC entities, or even to test that latest home made antenna.
Certainly, a big playground opens up, providing a show lasting two full days, where the competition in each category is really tough.

Regarding the Dxpeditions on the air in this weekend, we remind you of WA4DAN/CY0 and AA4VK/CY0 active from Sable Island. They are focusing on 15,12,10 meter bands on phone, but they will also take part to the contest on 10, 15, 20, and 40 meters.
