This weekend: WW PMC Contest and ARRL RTTY Roundup

On the new year’s first weekend, the main contests are the WW PMC from Slovenia and the ARRL RTTY Roundup.

PMC stands for Peace Messenger Cities. The complete list is available at

The contest’s goal is to promote contacts between PM cities and the rest of the world, but it is also a worldwide contest where anyone can work anyone. The time is 1200 UTC Saturday – 1200 UTC Sunday. The modes are CW and SSB in the HF bands between 80 and 10 meters. For the rules and other details, see

The ARRL RTTY Roundup will take place from Saturday, 1800 UTC to Sunday, 2400 UTC in the usual digital modes (Baudot RTTY, ASCII, AMTOR, PSK31, PSK63, Packet). Again in this contest anyone can work anyone. For details, see
