QSL de Voice of Russia
The “Voice of Russia” promptly confirmed (around ten days) a reception report, sent to their e-mail address, for the reception of the “Golos Rossii” service on 1395 kHz, at 18.04 UTC of 2nd October 2011. The QSL card features, on the front, a picture theme related to the fifty years of the first manned flight in space. On the back, card – signed by Alla Molodnina – is duly completed. No mention of the transmitting site, but the reason is easily understandable. On that channel, two russian transmitters are active: one from Yerevan (Armenia, 500 kW), and the other from Buguruslan (Orenburgskaya oblast, 50 kW), which is even more far from Italy. I guess, given power and distance from my location, it’s Yerevan that was received, but it’s only a supposition, and nobody can certify that. Anyways, I’m happy. A confirmation for a not close station on MW. That’s the kind of thing that makes you glad to be a BCL.
