Thank you, India!
As you can read in this post on DXCoffee.com, AU2JCB has been a special call from India (based in Ahmendagar, not far from Bombay), that ended yesterday its activity. I had the chance to catch Datta (VU2DSI) active yesterday afternoon, on 15 meters (21280 kHz). Pile-up from Europe wasn’t the hardest. Furthermore, propagational window seemed pretty open to Italy, as many “I” stations (especially from zone 2) were succesfully received. So, I tried too. I have been heard, with the “usual” initial misunderstanding of being CX1, and not IX1, but then the operator succesfully caught my correction and I was logged properly with a 5/6 report, that for a 6200 km QRB is fine to me. I’m always putting no more than 100 Watts into my “fishing rod” homebrew vertical, and not getting always 5/9 in other continents means only one thing: there are still many honest OM around the world. Let’s hope it lasts. Meanwhile, enjoy this clip of the QSO.
