QSL de Radio Japan
Confirmations from NHK/Radio Japan were already in my list. However, they related to relays in Singapore and Chile. Nothing from the stations’ land. Luckily enough, the 6085 kHz evening broadcast in Japanese (from Yamata) is not an impossible catch from Europe. I had it last December, at 21.13 UTC, in a week when also Nikkei (internal shortwave service) was well heard in our continent (but not at my location), highlighting very-good propagation from Japan. Report went e-mailed, even if NHK’s server warns it can’t accept attachments. So, I made clips with the audio of my reception, and sent again the report inclusive of a YouTube link. This allows me to let you take a peek of how signal was in mighty IX1 land that night:
Honoring Radio Japan’s tradition of breathaking landscapes cards, the QSL I got shows a wonderful shot of Yamanashi Prefecture (entitled “Lights of a Dream”). The confirmation comes in English language, and features full data (tx site too). No signature, but a nice red stamp. Thanks! Now, with a Japanese outlet confirmed, everything makes more sense.
